Market pricing

We offer the best service rates for all your power needs, in keeping with Ontario's regulating board for electricity market pricing - the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).

The IESO was established in 1998 through the enactment of the Electricity Act of Ontario. The IESO's primary responsibility is to forecast, manage and balance the demand of the wholesale electricity market while overseeing the operation of Ontario's electricity grid. Because energy rates fluctuate depending on time of year and use, market pricing is monitored hourly. You can view hourly market pricing at the IESO's website. Easy access to current market pricing provides Ontario municipalities and homeowners with current energy pricing, ensuring you will always know how much you are paying for your energy.
