Move in/move out

Whether you are new to the area that Erie Thames Powerlines services or are a current resident, your electrical connection and reconnection if you move is a primary concern to us. We want to make your move as easy and as efficient as possible.

For current customers moving within or out of our service territory:

Before you move out of or within the Erie Thames Powerlines service area, you must contact us to arrange to have the service at your current residence discontinued and your account closed. To avoid delays, please provide us with the following information at least 48 hours prior to your move out date:

  • Forwarding address (to forward your last bill to your new address)
  • Date of connection of service to your new address (if moving within the Erie Thames Powerlines service area)
If you have registered your current account with eCare, you can provide all this information to us online through your eCare account prior to your move out date.
