Community involvement

As Your Home Town Utility, Erie Thames Powerlines is proud to sponsor and participate in a variety of community events within our service territory. Our staff live here — this is their home; the community of their family and friends. We understand the importance of community support and Erie Thames Powerlines is committed to partnering in the leisure activities, community events and fundraising initiatives of the townships we service.

Each year we enjoy sponsoring youth minor hockey teams in the region. Last year we had the privilege of sponsoring 10 teams, including the Port Stanley Lakers, Aylmer Flames and the Junior C Aylmer Spitfires. These athletic sponsorships offer children and youth the chance to participate in team athletics while also helping generate community support and involvement.

In addition to financially supporting athletic teams, the staff of Erie Thames Powerlines actively volunteer in a variety of community events and programs within our service territory. Our staff actively participates in community parades and helps run workshops such as Emergency Preparedness Day in Ingersoll and the County of Oxford (Woodstock).
